Traditional photography, also called classic photography involves posing for a photograph in a sit-still manner. It has been used in weddings for many years. To most people, traditional photography is an old-fashioned method of photography because the wedding pictures are not spontaneous. On the other hand, a modern photographer concentrates on producing artistic pictures where a person can freely relax. Traditional photography requires a person to set up the camera each time one wants to take a picture, which is quite tiresome and monotonous. A person should make wedding photos look artistic while covering the different wedding sessions. A traditional wedding photographer may produce pictures, which are organized photo shoots. Traditional photography bases its quality on sharpness and lighting. This makes it of poorer quality than the modern wedding photography. Modern cameras capture clearer pictures due to the improved screens. A wedding photographer who uses the traditional cameras has to focus on a still image before taking the picture. David Jay and Jasmine Star were out in Kansas City a while back to generously share their knowledge and inspire fellow photographers in the Kansas City area. We had the privilege of documenting the event and put together a short promo piece for it. They are two of the kindest people and truly have a passion for what they do and empowering others to do the same. It was a great time and it was great to be able to meet and catch up with other photographers in the Kansas City area. It is my personal ambition to never stop learning and the topics and subject matter that DJ and Jasmine touched on are universal and inspirational to anyone who listens. Even though I was technically working during the event, I still got a lot out of it and was glad that I was fortunate enough to be a part of it. This is part one of a project of photographing our garden for a year. Life without a car means living closer to home. At times we miss jumping into our old Subaru and heading out for a hike on the spur of the moment. But weve also loved the fact that weve learned to appreciate our neighborhood and our city at a slower pace.
